2 birds. 1 stone.
    #14492900 - 05/22/11 06:58 AM (12 years, 8 months ago)

I haven't been on here for over a year.  Hopefully the rules haven't changed and I can still post a ID request.

Found these 2 under my nose, I thought I saw purple on left so I got excited.

Habitat: Found in mulch made from fire wood chippings.  It was rainy here recently.  Last 2 days were mostly dry with a random sprinkle.  Both were found on the west side of a barn.

Gills: Gills seem to stick out on the right sample.  Left I'm unsure.  They have been here for awhile.

Stem: The left is skinny, the right seems fat, but not fat like I've seen in active ones.

Cap: Curled up from age?

Spore print color: N/A

Bruising: Haven't been able to bruise.

Location: Ohio-Indiana area.

the second one looks like stropharia hardii, and the first one appears to be a coprinus sp. IMO

I agree. I didn't say that right off because all of the C. plicatilis I find have a yellow spot on the cap center and these seemed grey/brown, but after checking MD, it says cinnimon brown to fulvus

Thank you.  I'm slightly color blind.  So it's often times difficult for me to positively ID anything.

I think the 2nd one looks more like Agrocybe.
