Yellow Filmy Water From Misting Tray?

I spawned a brf cake to a pint of coir awhile back and just recently birthed it. When i birthed it,...i misted a couple times and left for awhile...like 2-3 days. I just figured i'd add that it might have something to do with it.
When i mist it,...the water droplets slowly turn yellow within minutes as they sit and it turns into a yellow filmy wetness. I lost my cell phone so no pics. Any ideas what this is and should i remove it from my SGFC and cakes?

You shouldn't mist coir as much as a cake, it is probably completely saturated

the yellow could be metabolites soaking into the water... hard to guess with my limited experience without seeing pics.
when I see "filmy" I think matted, and every time I got matted surfaces, it was from over-misting.
you shouldn't need to mist when you "birth" a tray for at least couple days, IMO, depending on your water content. it should have enough water to form droplets during colonization, so you can just fan the hell out of it until you get a lot of evaporation and pinset. once you see the water missing from the surface, you can start misting again, though I try to hold off from misting as long as possible or until actual pins are formed because of the fragile primordials.
here's a pinset using this method in a 71qt with 2x unplugged holes at opposite ends on the top sides for the 1st 3 days of fruiting conditions.

hope this helps. get us some pics when you can.
