Could I use ELME and water, with maybe a small amount of brf to thicken it up more. If I get the moisture content right the elme should gel up like bought agar I think. Is there a written tek on an ELME or LME agar recipe. I have instant potatoes, ELME, and BRF. Should I just make the potato agar, I probably don't have all the stuff for it, I will have to go to the organic market and look for some agar agar...
Wouldn't a mix of all three of those work in theory if you got it to the right moisture consistency?

Either three of those ingredients can be separately used to make agar. You'r going to need the agar agar, however to get the finished agar medium at the right thickness and solidification. With the instant potatoes you'll need not only powdered agar agar, you'll also need powdered dextrose.
A mix of all three of those plus agar agar may work but you'd have to configure ratios. Also, that nutritious of an agar medium would cause the myce to grow slow and not sector. Your best bet is going to be to go to the organic market and pick you up some agar agar (powderize it if you have to) and make you some Malt Extract Agar.
Malt Extract Agar: 10 grams of LME. 9 grams of powderized agar agar. 500ml of water.
Yes you can start a culture on agar with a spore syringe. Just use a drop of spore solution per agar medium right in the center of the medium.
