howdy. I have a few 1/2 pt BRF jars that aren't fully colonized yet,(can still see half dollar sizes of uncolonized portions), and there are mushrooms growing along the glass in several areas! I thought this wasn't supposed to happen, however, leave it up to a noob to think right? no, but seriously, what would cause this to happen, the other 39 jars are going great.

contams will cause premature pinning. It could be bacteria.

it could be.
bacterials are easy to beat sometimes, but your options are these:
1. let them finish and then birth them and see how it goes.
2. depending on how much is colonized, you can birth it now, cut off the uncolonized part and try to fruit it like that and see how it goes.
Either Way.

thanks for the info....i just thought it was a bit odd to discover that...1.5 inch long mushrooms inside the jar...looked like little snakes...ya know...mushrooms are mysterious little bastards sometimes...i have a boomer on a cake now that the cap is inside out if that makes sense...
