on or about the NEXT FULL MOON:maybe june 8, 15th at the most the jar should be fully covered in the white stuff, called mycelium. this is the plant that bears the fruit if you will.THe jars may have a week difference before they are ready. since thats usually the case you have 2 groups of six. anyway once the jar is fullied covered take it out from the others and let it sit 7 more days so the mycelium can get "consolidated"and thats to make sure it has use of all the available substrate. After you get your first six jars consolidated your gonna have to do something called DUNK AND ROLL.and this is where you put 6 cakes in a big pot of  COLD distilled water. your gonna need to buy some. dont be cheap, just buy them trust me. HERES AN ITEMIZED LIST.....!!!!DUNK BEFORE EVERY FLUSH!!!!
--Place 2 gallons of distilled water in refigerator 2 days before you plan to do this(they need to be cold)
--Spray kitchen down with lysol and clean athe counter top and stove.
--WAsh 1 big pot with antibacterial soap.
--put in 2 cap fulls of peroxide(use the new bottle i bought)
--empty COLD gallon of distilled water into said pot.
--now place 6 cakes into said distilled water located in the previosly discussed pot.
--They bob like corks so you have to find a plate that will work as a lid, and hold the cakes down. when you find a plate sutable for this job (you should probably have a plate in  mind before you start)wash said plate with antibacterial soap.
--after this i would strongly recomend that you put a tight layer of celophane or aluminum foil even over the lid of the pot.
--after this make ICE CUBES with FILTERED WATER(dont be lazy).you are gonna need to put them in the pot atleast in 12 hours. try to do it every 6 thought if you can.so when you fill the pot up dont fill it all the way.
----ROLL-----
OK, now that was the DUNK part. this is the ROLL part.
--fill one of those aluminum pans with VERMICULITE.about 1/2 way.
--pre heat the oven to 350
--place pan in oven for 30 minute to sterilize it.
--now let it cool for thirty minutes
ONLY ROLL ONE TIME.BEFORE THE FIRST FLUSH AND THATS IT

--NOw place each cake on a square of aluminum foil in the fruiting chamber.

--BEFORE YOU PUT THE CAKES IN THE FRUITING CHAMBER..POUR A HALF GALLON OF  room temperature DISTILLED WATER THROUGH THE PERILITE AND LET IT DRAIN--

and that is just about it. now all you have to do is fan and mist. thats pretty easy. all you do is take that little spray bottle. put in a cap full of peroxide and fill the rest of the way with room temperature distilled water. atleast 3 and no more than 5 times a day. spray 20 times and fan with the lid 10 times.ALWAYS SPRAY FIRST AND FAN LAST

The cakes may sit in there up 5 days without doing anything so dont worry. just keep FANNING and MISTING.
--AFTER they start PINNING(little mushrooms) its about 5 days until you should pick them.the best time to pick them is right after the caps start to open.

this is very important, yet very simple. all you have to do is take the 3 biggest caps from each "flush". after they open,pick it from the cake. the best thing to do is gently twist the base of the stem away from the cake.cut the cap of of the stem as close to the cap as possible, with a sterilized knife. you place them on a rectangular peice of aluminum foil about 3x3/ but two 3x3 squares together so you can fold it over onto itself.ill show you.leave for 24 hours.take cap from aluminum and dry.

place the wet mushrooms on a couple paper towels directly infront of a fan. you may want to use 2. just make sure you clean it. you dont want dust flying all over the fruits. leave them there for up to 48 hours. rearrange them every once in awhile. after 48 hours place them in a chamber with the "damp rid x"or whaever the hell its called. the shrooms need to be above the desiccant so it can draw the moisture from the fruit. so figure something out. ill draw a picture for you.

for comparison:::::10g wet = 1g dry

***When harvesting it is best to TWIST THE BASE OF THE STEM AWAY FROM THE CAKE..otherwise you tend to rip chunks out of the mycelium***


****TO MAKE THE FRUITING CHAMBER RINSE ABOUT 5 SCOOP OF PERILITE UNTIL IT DRAINS CLEAR WITH TAP WATER.THEN POUR A LITTLE DISTILLED WATER/PEROXIDE THROUGH IT****

are you sure? i think its beneficial to roll them before the first flush. its just after the first flush all your doing is promoting contamination.ive got to go out of town for a like a while and im hoping he can grasp just about the simplest growing concepts

roll them, dont need to steralize verm layer but you can if you wan't to, doesnt hurt.

you dont need the dunk water to be cold. or distilled,
tap water is fine as long as its fit for consumption.
