Redboy syringe contam - possibility of salvage/viability

The contents of a ms redboy syringe was removed for viewing in wbs. There were some areas that were doing fine but it was also contaminated with trich- will not say who the vendor was. There were areas that were not compromised after the shaking. In an attempted last ditch effort, not knowing if a replacement was possible since it was unknown whether it was from the viewer or the vendor(it was the vendor), A syringe of sterile water was injected and sucked back up as best as possible at three areas within the grain to extract viable areas and then reinjected into clean wbs. One jars is showing signs of uncontaminated growth the other shows nothing yet. Its been 4 days.
My question is: What is the probability that there was enough diversity in the extracted cultures to have something fruitable? There is only one area, it is still in its infancy so signs of rhizomorphic growth is not yet visible, showing regrowth.
When a replacement was sent, it was the wrong one, pf red not rb. If it was me;) I am not a dick and would be happy with any sort of replacement even if it was not the one that was originally ordered, but there is a obvious reason that one was ordered. Should one continue to raise hell to get what they wanted or be happy and try another order? Could it be mated with another variety without having a mycology degree or advanced skills and equipment or will one need the same variety for any luck? Anything else that could be done?
Thank you in advance for your response!
