Liberty caps in my area??? Canada.

Do any of you know for a fact that Psilocybe semilanceata do grow in Canada.
Im in the east between Quebec city and Montreal.
If not, any knowledge would be appreciated.

Psilocybe semilanceata pretty much grows everywhere. they are one of the most widely distributed Psilocybes.

you can also find Psilocybe caerulipes from mid-late summer to october/november in your area, search beech dominant forests

and your in Quebec so you should definetly be looking for Psilocybe quebecensis !!:thumbup:

I think most if not all of the eastern provinces have Liberty Caps. Thinker is right about P. caerulipes. Look for P. quebecensis in the Jacques Cartier river valley. Prince Edward Island is supposed to be loaded with Liberty Caps in season. Damn...just a little too far south...:mad2:
