Hi,it's been about 18 months since my last monotub grow & another is well over due. I'm wanting to soak my WBS in the pasteurized poo water that I had left from last year, will this still be good to use or not,the bottle it has been kept in has not been opened. I have searched the forum but have not seen any posts regarding 18 month old horse poo water

I would not because it will cloud up the inside of your jars. You could use it to hydrate some straw or coir perhaps.

not so long as you sterilize it afterwards. Basically every single thing we use to grow on is contaminated, when one gets it

sterilize it and kill all the fauna in there that you wanted it for?
Pasteurize it. Yeah, it's nasty and 18 months old. Pasteurize it for 2 hours then to be on the safe side.
If you were going to sterilize it u might as well toss it out.

So it will still deliver the nutrients but i'll struggle to see how the mycelium is coming on because of the cloudy jars

I steralise the WBS in the jars in a pressure cooker,so soaking the WBS in horse poo water beforehand would be a waste of time

I sterilize poo all the time. would actinomyces survive an anaerobic habitat for 18 months anyway? Poo has nutrients that are great for mush, actinomyces are for protecting the sub from competitors. You don't think he is going to sterilize the grain, after the soak? I've never heard of pasteurized grain working out well

Yeah, I'm obviously not thinking this morning.

Disregard.
Does it make the jar cloudy and icky like I imagine it would, or no?

I don't have the slightest idea. I only sterilize the poo that goes in my bulk. I mix it all up put it in jars and pc it. Then I put it in a ziplock bag with a jar of wbs.

Grain jars don't need additional nutrients. They have plenty of nutrients as it is - more than poo. If you're going to add something to it, either soak/simmer in some dilute coffee (alters pH) and/or add some powdered gypsum (adds desirable minerals).
