I will bet a lot of you guys out there that have been experimenting for a while have seen this before. But I am gunna talk about it anyway because I thought it was pretty cool to see.
Anyway, I was looking into one of my tubs and I saw I pin grown on the side where there was nothing but a little myc and nothing else. I have seen this before but it is kind of neat to see so I thought I would post a picture of it. So here it is.

I am pretty sure you can pick out which one it is. But just in case someone can't it is the one in the middle on the plastic at a 90 degree angle from the rest...lol

Aren't mushrooms WHACK???? If not for mushrooms, this world would not be as it is. A picture like that says to me how much these things want to grow, and how much we owe to these simply complex things. Because of this website; I am more changed than a lot of other things that have happened in my life. I am more aware of the complexities that surround me and more sensitive to how much other things are equal to me if not more important. A simple fungus. It can be boon or bane. complex yet rewarding. Mycology is one of the most wonderful things that I've ever imagined.

Not even towards maturity yet. But I will be updating that one because it is deferent and could be really cool to see if it does actually grow to maturity.

Have seen this a few times before, but it's always interesting. Have also had large fruits that have developed off of single rhizomorphs no thicker than 2mm in diameter, several inches away from the main subsrate body.
Goes to show you that cubensis is very good at transporting water and nutrients throughout its mycelial network.

Yup, yup. To the extent that ryzomorphic species will feed one tree from the nutrients of another tree, located several meters away! Damn impressive stuff, indeed! :-)
