The best way to dry is to pick and immediatly put them in front of a fan. The moving air drys them out in about 20 hours (leave them in front of the fan for a day) You'll notice considerable dryness even within the first 6 hours, but keep going for AT LEAST 12 hours.
THEN put into a dessicant chamber. Using a fan only drys it to a point, then it needs to be dessicated. BUT it speeds up the whole process by about 2 days and you wonrt have any rotting mushrooms. Good luck!

Drying on a rack over a fan is truely the best way. I use 4-2'x2' racks made out of hardware cloth with the edges folded up and zip-tied so I can stack them. I spred the shrooms out evenly and turn the fan on, usually a day or two. When I am done, they are so dry, that when I grind them up in my food processor, there is a dust cloud when I take the top off!! :biggrin: I will attach a pic to try and help. Also with the fan, you have little worry of bugs landing on them.
