Yes, but the most dominate strain will take over the other strains. Giving you only the traits of one dominate strain. But over all it will not hurt to dump 3-4 different strains together.

Could you innoculate 2 diff strains together and maybe get like a combination of the two?? or is that just one of my fantasies...

>Yes, but the most dominate strain will take over the other strains.

This is not what will happen.

Don?t forget, the substrate is already colonized, the fighting for food and space is over.

All the strains will fruit independently, likely not at the same time, making the casing maintenance difficult. Not recomended.

Would that depend on how well the different substrates were mixed together, or would all the different strains fruit pretty much all over the case at different times?

(And wonderful to see you here Anno!)

Oh yeah, label your jars well!

Peace,

From my experience, if you mix the colonized substrates you will get very small fruits fruiting at different times on the casing.

If you must case it in one container, case it groupwise, with more or less clear borders between the different strains.

or try making 4 small one cake casings...might be a good opportunity to see which casing method you prefer.
