Let me rephrase it for you:
It's hard not to associate the grievances you have with your friend, and the substance they adore.

sooooo sleepy

I went to reset my sleep schedule on tuesday by only sleeping like four hours, planning on going to bed early yesterday

BUT

then I got a really nasty computer virus, and I've been correspoding with two new possible employers through e-mail, so I took an emergency adderall and stayed up all night fixing that shit

I slept three hours, then had to get to work

took my second emergency adderall (now I have none  ) and plowed through work

gonna crash harder than Dale Earnheardt here shortly...

It's easier to relate his grievances to his friends inability to moderate though.

Yeah, but when your next friend starts down the same path, your going to call upon your memories.

Got a new Fender Telecaster online a few days ago. It's so sexy I love it :durrhurr:

I got it off this website zzounds.com. Originally I was going to do a pay as you play payment plan thing but it wasn't allowed for "blemished" models. When there is a slight ding in the finish, something slight like that but that doesn't effect the playing at all they sell them for a cheaper price with warranty. Fuck it, all I'm going to do is "blemish" it when I have it, so I got it for 395.99, one hundred off for the blemish that I haven't found yet. This is what it looks like:

Teles are sex :borat:

Is it a Mexican?

Or is it from God's Country?

Mexican. I can't justify spending a few hundred more for God's almighty touch. It's nice, though, I really like it. I might trade it for an '88 Strat but I definitely like it a lot :yesnod: I also have a Gretsch 3161.

I've played that thing for at least 3 or so years but it's soo nice to finally own a solid body guitar for myself.

What kind of stuff have you learned to play? Definitely know the feeling, though. I first got this piece of shit acoustic when I was around 14 I believe; when I figured out how hard it was to actually start playing I set it down for a year before I finally taught myself how to play (thank thy internet) You'd know if you saw that acoustic, though, I googled it one day and google was like "What the fuck is this thing?" Made my fingers bleed many a time.

Well I'm not gonna knock the Mexican, it's def a decent guitar.

But I will say that the difference is extremely noticable. I had a Mexi strat for a while before I sold it, and it was good, but it was nowhere near my American.

I'd say you can definitely justify paying extra for the American.

I have always wondered about the Jap strats, and wanted to play one. Haven't had the chance yet though.

Eh, not enough for me to do that now. I don't doubt better components like pots and switches are used but I just want the body and the neck, the tele is so basic that's the main reason I bought it.. Leaves me a lot of room to play around with. The next step is deciding what kind of pickups I want to put in one day when I have the money :strokebeard:

I would take a picture of my guitar for you if it wasn't in a room with a person sleeping in it.

I've got

Seymour Duncan Hotrails humbucker in the bottom slot

Lace Sensor Blue in the middle

and then a Seymour Duncan vintage replica of some kind in the top slot.

They're all amazing pickups. The Lace is especially great, it's some kind of extra sophisticated single coil which blocks more interference. The exact mechanism of which being something I've known and forgotten
