Sclerotia porn anyone?

I thought I'd taken more pictures, but couldn't find them after the fact and was too lazy to take more. These jars were inoculated with spores on 4/11. The substrate is rye berries soaked in coffee/water per RR's (I believe) rye prep tek.
edit: forgot to say, species was P. galindoi (ATL7)

Yes, they were inoculated on 4/11, so slightly over a month. I did shake them once around 20% colonization, and left them alone since then.

I think people generally dig out the substrate with a spoon. Or bang it against something to loosen it and dump it out. Then the substrate is sorted to separate the sclerotia from the substrate.

Wasn't being a smart ass. It just looks like they are beyond banging to break up & with a small openning. Hadn't thought about a spoon. Good to know.

I certainly didn't think you were being a smart ass. The opening is quite wide though, it's a quart-sized jar. This is my first sclerotia grow though; the tek I read said to dig them out with a spoon, so I'll probably do that. But sclerotia are kind of hard (I've heard them described as peanut-like in texture), so I don't think that banging them once or twice would do much damage. I don't have any experience harvesting them yet though, so we'll see

Bang and pour. Shake it like you would any other grain jar.

Thanks for the info. I really wasn't looking forward to breaking it up with a spoon

If there's a stone too big to come out of the jar, shake out everything else and then post pics.
Actually, post pics either way.

I've never grown them but all the pics I see sure look like they are pretty solid. Can't say as I have ever seen a pick of them outside of the jar. So post a pic or two for me when you get them out.

I'll definitely post pics when I harvest them, but I'm not sure when that's going to be. Going to let them sit for a while, I have no strong desire to trip right now anyway. If you wanna see pics of them outside the jar, there are several on this post (this is the tek I used as well):

Looks like a lot of work to seperate them. Shrooms are easier by the looks of it, but maybe some day I'll try. Right now I need all the jars I have to keep everyone hap hap happy.Ha

Just over a month old. And they are probably a pain to harvest, but they're so easy to grow. Literally set and forget from day one.

That's fast growth for stones. Nice job, I hope mine will look that nice in a month! Do you mind answering the questions below. I don't think enough emphasis is given to proper storage conditions.
Where do you store them? what's your average daily room temperature? Elevation? What's your room humdity %?
