Hi, Mushroom John here for all of you.
My web-site Mushroom John's Shroom World is now back on line here at the Shroomry.
I have, as many of you know, and for those who do not, newbies included, the largest online pictorial collection of psilocybian mushroom photographs. Mopre than 22 shroom photos of 55 species gracce my apges at my site. There is also a shroom guide posted there which covers the 55 species noted above as well as information usually asked for over and ov er in this Shroomery site.
Here is the URL for the pages for my field guide to magic shrooms.
http://www.mushroomjohn.com/species.htm
Read and have a shroomy day.
IT tells how to distinguish and identify Psilocybe species and Panaeolus species.
have a shroomy day,

While doing some searching for info on Ps. Caerulipes, I was looking at your site two days ago and it was down. It was available sometime yesterday and for that I was grateful. Then I went looking and found no info about the species. Is it that rare that a b&w drawing is the best representation available. I have found other pics but not enough to feel comfortable Id'ing it myself. Have you had any luck finding this rare species and if so where are the pics .

Hi the pictures are on a page that wqas missed when I ftp'ed the site to the shroomery. I did post them in thew post about the North Carolina shrooms in shroom hunting. I will fix the page in a few days to include them.
And the at is a bad black and white foto given to me by Dr. A. H. Smith the mycologist who has several books including an east coast guide with a color photo init of P. caeurlipes.

What I find interesting about this species is that is is suppose to be a common species along the east coast and mot collections of it have come form Ohio and Michigan. I wonder if some one just asumed it grew from Florida to Maine?
ANyway, I posted three images of it here somewhere yesterday. I think in the post about North Carolina.
