Seriously?
Of course I would equivocate religion with insanity. Those people believe that somehow, some cosmic jewish zombie can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him that you accept him as your master so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is naturally present because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree.
Yeah, that makes sense.

yea seriously. Im glad you hate on something you know nothing of.
yeah religious people might be a little insane, but honestly the nicest people I've ever met have been christian so
besides not all christian people are crazy. I know quite a few who smoke weed regularly and are pretty open minded...there are a lot of nut jobs though....holy shit

Wow, religion is not inherently evil. In every religion there are good stories to help guide you to be a better person. The problem comes when people use religion and twist it into their own idea of how things should be. Translation and interpretation can be a bitch.
I just think of all the texts that have been removed from the bible because some king or other pompous dude said, "no, this does no longer fit into my reality".

Its possible that i read the OP wrong when he said religious crazy people. But then i restated that and asked why? then other people jumped in and really had no content but to further put it down.

I personally think organized religion has been a pervasive force in the history of mankind. A constant enemy of free will, perpetrator of violence and suppressor of knowledge.
Why should I accept and embrace this force?
I have plenty of religious friends. I don't go around trying to shake people from their faith. It offers solace to those who can't handle living with the unknown. I accept that and feel it's most likely detrimental to try and tear some (if not most) people away from it.
Still, I don't appreciate its existence, and I have the right to express that opinion, and judge people accordingly.
Edit: And yeah, I get that the problem arises from misinterpretations and distortions of the original intent. It has become an extremely effective tool for furthering the desires of unsavory and shitty people. I don't dig that about it either.

cool story. My questioning had to do with people blurting out random shit about something they know nothing of, that pisses me off. It had nothing to do with religion really, i was just looking to argue and troll. lol
and yea you can read a sentence a thousand ways.

How did he come up with 6pm eastern time? I don't see a reason why jesus would have a specific time.

It's time. Has it gone down yet? Or does jesus like to be fashionably late?
