Doc - ...the symptoms of those mushis I posted are of too low RH. look @ the caps...lock mushis are caused by higher temps. I just re-did my tubs & know they were great, just have to seal up some holes in the lid to keep in the RH...It's the EXACT same set up as in my signature, just different lid design...you make me The poly is basically falling outta the tubs w/ a small fan going in the room...
on another note, who's puppet are you?

Guys, quit pissing over fresh air and evaporation. Evaporation of moisture is the number one pinning trigger, followed closely by a reduction in CO2 level, both of which are caused by fresh air. Arguing over which is more important is like arguing over whether the engine or the transmission on a car is more important. RR

Whoa dude what's up with all the negativity and that's a bold fuckn statement. Barakenaten was the one that gave you a lot of shit in that thread and he's fkn AMU and then some others jumped on the bandwagon but that's neither here nor there, you shouldn't classify everyone in IRF like that just cause you weren't pleased with how you were treated.
You kinda went in there asking for it making smug comments about how growing cubes is easy and how everyone should grow more difficult strains bla bla bla if I remember correctly.

well one started on me on this very board, so I took it there off this board. Plus do not forget the actions of one will brand all the same. If this guy is in your group, then it looks like IRF grows more than funji. I came out of the blue and offered advice to someone asking and got mocked on this cult forum by one of your members like I had no idea what I was doing because my methods are different. I took it to pinheads thread and fired off. I respect everyone till crossed. If you are going to be a help group, then treat everyone the same, not just some. I have never seen RR mock anyone till he was crossed on here.

The growth on the left, at top. That clear linear growth is bacteria, not the rhizomorphic mycelium it's often mistaken for. There's also a distinct edge to the whiteness, not blending into the uncolonized substrate the way healthy mycelium would at the leading edge of the growth. RR

Either I'm confused/reading this wrong, or I'm surprised nobody brought this up yet. Were the cakes made with all of these ingredients? And if so, was it pasteurized or sterilized? You say that you used pasteurized cow manure, but if the jars were sterilized properly, it would no longer be pasteurized. As I understand, you can't pasteurize wbs and brf, they must be sterilized. So are they separate cakes, and if not, what was your procedure?

Thanks RogerRabbit, no chance of saving the jar is there? Should I check them all for that type of growth? I thought it was mycelium, glad I asked. I am quite suprised by the outbreak of hostile comments over how to pin, I am pretty sure you have a thread explaining all of that in detail.

First off JokeFox is being JokeFox, don't take it personal mister, he's like that w/ everyone! Secondly, you came into our thread and told us we were wasting our time w/ cubes and that we should do something more worthwhile like attempting to cultivate morels... You even linked to it...the same one that's in your journal.

The only thing I can think of is that I did not use a surgical mask during inoculation, I did use a glove box but no mask. How stupid that was. But my WBS jars do not have any fibourous growth, lucky I guess. At least 5 different kinds of fungi grow in my flowerbeds now, if I let all the contaminated PF jars colonize fully outside and then birthed them to a shallow grave of horse manure and verm, in my flowerbed, think they would grow GT's or the shrooms in my flowerbed? Or grow at all? Average low right now of 55 and high of 78.

I dump any contaminated cakes/bulk and spent cakes/bulk in a compost pile I have in the garden and I do get some that pop up from time to time.
