I went exploring today

to some stores, i want to find some coco coir. so i went to the pet store like told to do, all i found was two things that looked like it one was labled "forest bed" was in the form of a um brick thing, also another one wich was called something else, it was made out of coconut fiber which i was told was not it. is it forest bed?

also i need straw for an indoor grow, where the hell do i get it?

also i need hay for an outdoor grow, where can i get it?
i saw some hay at the pet store that said "oat, wheat and barley hay" would that work?

no its not forest bed, forest bed is compressed peat moss in a brick, like compressed weed. coir is coconut fiber.

i must be thinking of somthin else, the bricked up crap they sell at the pet store here is peat moss, its made for snake and arachnid bedding crap.

Well your in luck both ways, feed stores are present in even the smallest towns. Alot of feed store vendors  use the popular dog food symbol of "purina" a checherboard pattern. You may look them up in your local yellow pages under "horses" or "feed". They carry a bounty of useful supplies such as grain, straw, syringes, and some carry canning jars :smile:
