about 2 days. i remember reading a post by RR that said you should wait a couple of weeks before putting them in the FC. i'm sure if he did indeed say that then it is true. i'm just wondering if my memory serves me correctly. should i wait a bit longer before introducing them into the FC?
any help is appreciated.
anyone see any signs of contamination or am i looking healthy?
thanks in advance.

I think the general consensus is one week for consolidation, not to say you couldn't wait 2 weeks if you wanted but one week after full colonization should be fine. IMO those jars look good.

Ok, well consolidation - you can leave jars (and tubs) out for a long time indeed - I have (though not on purpose) . When finally you put them into fruiting after that they just explode into fruiting. I had pins show up overnight in one case on the wild Texans after a whole lotta neglect - check it out: Wild Texan grow - New Pics!! I ran the jars 2 months before casing the grain, and it really popped 'em out. RR comments on this technique in the thread.
Like, food for thought.

thanks man. good to hear. i'm just a little sketched about contamination with it being my first grow and all. i've read all the literature and whatnot, but nothing compares to first hand experience. however, i am pretty confident that every jar is contaminate free.
i just don't want to run the risk of letting them sit too long and getting contaminated. i suppose it would happen regardless though, so i might as well practice some patience and wait the week.
as always, thanks for the advice enigmatic... you've helped me out tremendously.
i'm almost motivated to run to the field and grab some pasteurized manure and spawn the manure with a jar, just to see what happens.
not too familiar with this process and would have to do some research.
got any advice?

p.s. for all of those wanting wild prints... send me an encrypted email with your contact information so i can get an official list together and get them sent out ASAP. i can't promise i will send to everyone but i will sure do my best to try.
i will also be taking prints from this grow (obviously) and would be willing to part with some of those for some goodies in return.

so today i did a bunch of stuff. 1. got the cakes soaking.
notice only 4 cakes...
2.went to the field to have a look around. tomorrow or thurs. should be decent picking (we had some nice rain yesterday). anyway, collected some manure that was layered thick with myc.. in the bottom of the container i put down some manure enriched soil then some verm..i then put the patties on top of the verm.. after that i crumbled up a cake and layered it on top of the patties. i then crumbled up a patty and layered that on top. watered and covered. letting it sit outside.

i'll be keeping everyone posted. don't you worry about that. i noticed a bunch of pins popping today on the field as well. if you post some pics, i could probably id them for you...if you have any. tomorrow and thurs. should produce some decent fruit. anyway, i'm hoping this dung tek. works out well (i'm optimistic). i'm thinking about misting it with spore water tomorrow.
i'm going to bake the verm. at 350 for about an hour or so to sterilize it and then tomorrow morning roll and place in the fc.. hoping to see pins in 5 days.
i think i might actually see the dung fruit first. who knows?
i'll keep everyone updated and have more pics tomorrow.

so i finally got the cakes dunked (12 hrs.), rolled and put into the FC. the cakes smell like fresh mushrooms and we are ready to rock and roll. let's just hope i get some decent fruit out of the deal.
FC:

"the dung tub"

i already misted and fanned the cakes. throughout the night i misted and fanned the tub a couple times including once with spore water.

hopefully everything works out.

Alright so the pins are still growing good. i believe they are cube pins but ive never really seen a little cube pin up close. there always mature when i find them. so Blood if you think you can id them with my shitty pics lol please go ahead. i would appreciate it. I still will do a spore print and other test when it matures and will be able to tell by the way it looks mature.
Thanks Broski!!!
