my older dog just found a batch of rabbits, there eyes werent even open yet. right in our garden right outside our house, kinda surprising they are so close. what I'm wondering is, what to do? leave em and my dogs will surely be back to sniff that honey hole out, move em? raise em? eat em?

wild rabbits almost always die in captivity, tough choice, nab the babies and set up a trap for the mother and relocate them all well away from your place or dig a trench around the area you want to isolate them at and sink some hardware cloth into the ground in the trench, toss food and supply water, they'll be kinda like pets but not destructive tot he garden

its pretty funny tho, cause its right in my parents garden, like 10ft from the house, and in the same places we were just weeding/mulching. mustve just happened. idk what will happen I guess, they dont really stand a chance there, unless they mature fairly quickly, didnt take long for her to find them. idk if they the mother will come back or not my dog was all over em.

why not just build a fence the rabbit can get in but not the dogs no reason to feed and water them then.

Rabbit veal. Sounds yummy. Put em on a stick with some teri-yaki maybe and grill those puppies.

I guess they werent all dead, found 3/5 out in the lawn, slobbered up, one looked like it had its back broken couldnt move his back legs, one seemed to be bleeding. It presented a difficult situation as to what to do with them, cute lil things they are, obviously were not going to survive, I just ended up putting them back and letting nature take its course.
