My setup, will it work?

can i sterilize a needle with a normal bic lighter?
i have a fruiting chamber made out of a wide bottle that can hold up to 2-3 cakes, im making a stealth grow in my pc and making the bottle into a sgfc [ lots of holes around and 1-2 inches of perlite ]. My pc case has 7 fans in total. There isnt much air exchange where the fc is located but there some , will this dry out the air in the fc?
Should i sterilize my verm for the roll? if yea how can i sterilize it without a pressure cooker [ i got pre-sterilized pf jars ].
How often should i fan/mist with my setup. also can i fan through the holes? Also how will i go about misting as i have to open the cap and mist directly in the bottle which will land on the cakes, is this a problem?
here is a pic of my pc case, the fc will be located on the top right section of the case. It is a full tower case

here is another view where my sgfc will be. There are no wires in the place where my sgfc will be though.
Those 3 fans on the top, side and front are pretty massive [230mm] while the one on the back is a 120mm. My pc cooler, gpu card and power supply also all have fans so there is alot of airflow through this case. [ hence the name of the case HAF 932 for high air flow ]
Thanks alot i appreciate it . If you have guys any recomendations for me please tell me. I have yet to drill the holes in my bottle except for one in the cap. I will keep you updated as soon as my acadian coast jars are done colonizing

Too funny. I take it you plan on putting in a motherboard and actually have the PC working. If that's the case then I would be surprised if it worked. It's too hot inside a running PC it will dry out (that's why they have fans) + no light + introducing humidity to a PC is not the best idea. A lighter will work but it's a dirty flame and will leave black residue. Verm. is a mineral so you shouldn't need to sterilize it but you can put it on a tray in the oven for 1/2 hour @ 250-300 if you want.

I'll work on this another time. So much to read and learn here. Great community.

yes i dont have a camera atm to post pics of my pc i got those pics from google but there is a motherboard/gpu everything in it. Some of the fans in the case have lights. and i was thinking of putting a 6500k light in the pc anyways. Ill probably put bags of silica gel on the gpu and around the motherboard to keep it safe of the high humidity.
At the moment i dont know the temp inside my case as i dont have a thermometer atm , but when i get one ill let you know. I can tell you my cpu is 21 degrees celcius, and it feels pretty cool in there cause of all the fans.
Is the humidity of the fc a risk of damaging the parts even with bags of silica gel?
do i gotta wet the verm to field capacity when baking it in the oven

then i know for a fact it wont work.
and you'll probs fry your mobo too.
why would it seem like a good idea to put something WET into a COMPUTER.

The only way that it would be interesting is if one of the fans was removed, the shrooms grew through the fan grill holes and the computer actually worked with the hookups visible in the pics

lol wow. i guess hes not kidding. good luck, but dont waste your time, if you really want to fruit, fruit in a fc, not a pc.
im not being mean dude, but really, dont. you worked hard to get those cakes to where they are now, dont waste them. its REALLY not that hard. whether you go buy a plastic bin for $10, or use your pc decides between whether you have a half ounce of mushrooms, or dried cakes with a fucked up computer. I kinda wonder what RogerRabbit would think, lol
come on man, be reasonable.

See how high you can get the humidity during fruiting, it'll act just like a water-cooled pc!

The holes in my top fan I can get my pinky finger into, just the tip. But I think I could remove the fan and put a small tray right under the fan grill on the inside and grow some pins through the fan grill holes. If I got a good flush and took a pic of it fruiting with shroomery on the screen that would be a pretty sweet avatar, even though I am such a chick magnet...Quote:
