Psychedelic substances have the potential to vastly improve our lives. If you don't think so, well, when was the last time you tripped?
Perhaps psychedelics should be legallized? Yes, perhaps. Perhaps they should be made available based on prescription? Indeed, but when will this happen? MAPS.org is working toward this through the instigation of careful scientific research into the possibility of such proposals. Where does this leave all of us, living here, now? Exactly where it left the last decade's medical marijuana patients. Underground. But that's not so bad. At least we CAN get these substances, regardless of their legality. What seems to be impossible to find is the conglomeration of existing underground psychedelic research into a reliable framework of information easily accessible to everyone. We're all conducting underground psychedelic research every time we trip, and the potential benefit of the conglomeration of this research is enourmous. I propose we get started. We'll have to start small, but what doesn't? We'll learn as we go and create a constantly evolving gift to humankind, just like all fields of knowledge. Who's ready?
I'm not talking about fighting for legalization. MAPS is doing that in the best possible way. What we need to do is conglomerate "existing underground psychedelic research into a reliable framework of information easily accessible to everyone." We could do this!
