Yes. I think it looks lovely. I think it might have been slow because the straw might have been a bit on the damp side of things.
I think with a slow substrate, especially a slow straw sub, you have to just be patient and let it do it's thing.
When I've tried fruiting them too early, they stall and take much longer than if I had allowed them to finish colonizing under normal vegetative conditions.
I'd say leave it alone for up to another week unless u see pins.

with the heat build up in the substrate, might want to drop the temp a bit?

Never did a mono B4, but I keep reading that you want the 2 holes on the long sides of ur tub at sub level and the 1's on either end up high for circulation. Like I said I have never done a mono but I read that alot around here. Good Luck.

Actually I do mine in the basement in the summer where I have to run a heater to keep it up to 74, so it's a cost no matter where I do it, but an AC would be nice to come in out of the heat on those days where it hits 90+. Better half can't stand AC, so it would be like a islolated island for me. I'm getting a one room AC.

Hey Eligilbert12, I was just looking at ur WBS Qrts. The one on the left has something going on, maybe just the way the pic is or a clump of somthing in the seed, but I'd keep an eye on it.

If you get a portable a/c you might want to invest in one of these

Saves money on electricity and maintains a steady temperature constantly, its a portable thermostat good for heating and cooling, its the cheapest product I could find that actually works good and I looked all over everywhere. Its a good buy if you ask me, here's the link if anyone will need something of the sorts

Did you only have polyfil in the holes during the spawn run? If so that may be why it didnt finish colonizing. According to The Mushroom Cultivator, CO2 levels should be 5,000-10,000 ppm. during the spawn run. also noted in the same book is that thermal death occurs at 106F.
Looks good but what is the deal with the coffee filters?
