It doesn't necessarily has to be schizophrenia. Anyway, you do have his license plate number? You should definitely warn the cops, when someone sporadically yells mormons rock something is definitely not ok, now talking about killing people is a bit more worrying, specially if you're from America where guns are toys.
Warn someone who can do something about him being on the loose and then someone who can help in his psychological condition.
And good luck!

Just don't let him put up his totems.
Sorry, dude.
If you really care about him, I'd start looking for a good mental hospital or something before he winds up in a shitty one because the police find him first.

From what I read, it sounds legit. I had a friend a year ago who I met in college. He was chill for the most part, but had previously broken down at his high school. Not too sure if he was bipolar or schizophrenic, but when he didn't take his depacote, he went crazy! There would be no communicating with him, nothing I said would get through to him. He seemed to be on a mission, a crazy mission that made no sense to me.
He ended up gettin arrested one night when his meds weren't working? and eventually moved to some of his family out of state that could keep a better eye on him. From what I know, he's doin fine, even has a girl(which would be IMPOSSIBLE if was acting anything like he was around me).
All this happened before I really got into shrooms, but on a trip I had, I seemed to be able to mentally relate to the state his mind was in when he went insane. Freaked me out, I started hyperventilating for the first time in my life. When I came down, something from that trip made me have the strongest feeling that my friend was on shrooms when he was having a crazy fit... but who knows, I don't.
Mental illnesses are scary.

very interesting that you felt that way, osmond used psychedelics because he believed them to be psychomimetic or mimicking these states of mind and used them to relate better to his patients. of course that was disproven, but I think a certain amount of empathy for someone in that state of mind plus a trip can equal a better understanding of it

God that reminds me of the summer I took too much acid. Even when I wasn't tripping I felt like I was. I almost got committed because I didn't know what was real anymore. I would go on rants about shit people said was insane and I ran from people trying to put me in a hospital. I packed a bag and ran off to Virginia beach to live. I eventually came out of the insanity and called my parents to send a cab and bus ticket a few months later. They said they thought I was dead somewhere or crazy. For me not doing drugs at all snapped me out of it after awhile thank god. I remember waking up on the beach and looking out at the ocean and just crying with insanity. After the hardest cry I ever had I felt the walls in my brain and the filters in my mind slide back up. I was clear headed and everything seemed to right itself. I did WAY to much acid for WAY to long. I gaurd my thoughts carefully these days. Whenever I start feeling off I meditate and think of nothing. If I see a crazy person acting crazyy brain freaks out and I almost feel insane just watching them.
I feel bad for your friend. I hope he gets help. I couldn't imagine acting that way without drug use doing it. That would scare me to death.

naw bro, you didn't go crazy, you just deconditioned your mind to societies bullshit. it takes a while to re-train your muscles to conform to the way they functioned before.

damn a friend of a friend recently went batshit insane.
started saying wierd stuff like you were, and on a road trip in which my friends were driving from norcal to socal in a Prius, noone with licenses, we're stopped by the cops. The guy was driving and kept on asking the cop to search the car and kept telling the cop how everything was going wrong and the end was near..
idk. weird stuff man.

This sounds to the T like what happened to my friend after a mushroom trip.
He went extremely manic, wouldn't sleep much, was on some crazy mission, was speaking mostly in rhyme/freestyle... It was very sad for me. I tried my best to ground him. Have him chill out and blaze with us- or do some yoga with me- anything to get him to shift into a lower gear.
If it's any comfort, OP, he is fine now. He had to go to a mental institution for a bit and is still a bit quirky though. But he's got his priorities in line better than me- going to school, doing things he really loves (like photography, skateboarding). Who am I to judge?
Just find some type of help for your friend before it's too late. Normally, a calm intervention with the family-- voicing your general concerns-- would be what I'd think to do. It looks like the burden falls on your shoulders with a father like that though.

Well this sounds crappy...damage control is what it's about right now by the sound of it, force might be needed, antipsychotics probably and a mental institution, those places seem all doom and gloom until you actually need them...good luck.
And don't mind AntiEverything his brain keyboard connections are faulty.
