guy passed me on a bike on a cloverleaf, he must have been doing 140, I saw him lose it and hit a sign, split the guy nearly in half, he lived for a few minutes and was pretty coherent, asked if his bike was hurt and kept wanting to look to see how bad he was messed up

I was in a car crash where a guy slammed into the passenger side (which I was sitting on) doing 50 mph. Everyone walked away but it could've been much worse.

Walked out of a corner store just in time to see a (motor)bike get clipped by an SUV. Guy went off the bike, flew several meters, then skidded along the pavement for several more. Didn't see how badly he was hurt, a large crowd quickly formed to help and I couldn't do anything but get in their way, so I continued on my way. Poor guy

I was on the freeway and it was sort of icy out (mid december) and there was a guy in the lane next to me. He decided to get off the freeway at the last second, and made a sharp turn towards the exit, across 2 lanes. He hit a patch of ice and lost control, drove up a fairly steep hill on the side of the road, hit a tree head on, flipped, and rolled down the hill landing on its roof. I was like "HOLYYY FUCKKKKKK!!!"

Worst wreck I almost got to see was a family that took a roll in the median. My mom seen it first and covered my eyes. The whole family was scattered across the grass dead, kids included. The ambulance was pulling up just as we drove by.

I was 6 years old and we were driving on the N1 highway in South Africa. The side of the highway is a sea of shacks as far as you can see. It's a terrible place, and you often see people throwing up onto the street after drinking something a witchdoctor gave them.
There was a drunk mother and a drunk father watching their baby crawl it's way onto the highway. A car in front of us went right over the baby's head. The car kept going.
We stopped and called 10111, which is our 911. Parents didn't even know their kid was dead. Police and ambulence arrived and scaped the baby off the pavement. parents didn't wince.
I was 6, so I didn't really process it until much later. Most of what I know is because of my parents. But I do have a clear memory of the body.

I've seen my share as an EMT/paramedic. Some of the worst looking ones though aren't actually that bad. I've seen motorcyclists with bones sticking out of everything, crushed torsos, snapped necks, etc. One guy was doing like 140 and hit a car head on while riding a bike... NO road rash amazingly and he was only wearing sweats, not even leather... he didn't skid, he flew like straight up in the air and hit the ground. Splat! Mother fucker amazingly lived. His entire body except his torso, neck, and the top of his head (face was fucked up - even with full face helmet) were mush though. Bones sticking out, full femur fractures, both lungs punctured, all ribs smashed, broken orbits, broken nose, broken zygomatic, broken jaw, subdural hematoma, etc.

I saw a woman get hit by a truck when I was about 16, she went under the wheels and got dragged along a fair distance. Needless to say the results were gory...

helmets arent to far away from being useless, my cousin was wearing a full face, an unlit semi was straddling an intersection on a road in a residential area, he laid the bike down to try and slide under it but one of his wheels touched the trailer's tires and he spun off the road and slammed a utility pole, he was traveling about 40-45, it busted the helmet and ripped off the lower half of his face
my step dad's cousins were getting off an interstate ramp on a bike, lost control, the one driving was skinned up and the crazy part is he landed on his brother who was in the back and almost unharmed

The worst I ever saw was on the highway, a pickup truck went to pass a semi, the semi was in the passing lane. Well the dude in the pickup must have been drunk as fuck because he turned into the passing lane way too early and completely totaled his truck by t-boning himself off the front of the semi. It was rather surreal at the time.

From an experience and thread sometime last year:
"Previously to leaving, the university website said all classes are to remain active. Now halfway between Richmond, the snow really starts to pick up and it is getting to the point where the roads are becoming pretty hazardous. My ex-gf then calls me to say that classes have been cancelled, so I think wow, how considerate of them of wait this long and proceed to find a turnaround on the intertate. I find one of those "Authorized vehicle only" spots and slowly turn into it only to spin out and almost get hit, I am now stuck in this median but eventually make my way out eastbound back home.
Not even 5 minutes later the snow is falling so hard that you cannot see anything in front of you. At this point it is scary, and a bucket truck has crept in front of me from an exit. The truck then slams on his breaks, leaving me no choice but to do the same, I then slide in a drifting motion towards the right and manage to bearly clear him, but now I am stuck on the side bank. I get out of my car immediatly because another car is sliding out of control and it appears he is going to hit me, luckily he didn't. Across the lanes two guys in a BMW are stuck in a ditch. All of a sudden a Lexus SUV comes into the picture sliding out of control, does a 180 and slams into the back of the BMW in the ditch while the guys watch in agony as their car is hit. The passanger of the bmw is screaming "NOOOOO!!!" MY BABY SON IS IN THERE!". Now an 18 wheeler tractor trailer is coming in, slides out of control and crashes in the ditch in front of them. At this time things are now getting really crazy so I call 911 to tell them where we are. Cars are sliding all over the place, crashing into each other- getting stuck. In the distance I see multiple car crashes that had happened prior to this, and another crashed 18 wheeler. After about 2 hours of police, firetrucks, towtrucks, getting stuck in snow and ambulances. Everyone who was lucky enough not to be hit makes it out. All in all I counted about 8 vehicles damaged in accidents, and others that were still stuck on the side. The whole way back on the opposite side of the interstate there was also a lot of accidents and ambulances."

No pun intended. I did hear a horror story from a cop I know though. This guy is piss fucking drunk, accidentally drives into a work zone in the middle of the night and smashes into a backhoe and the thing is at the right height so it peels the top of his car and rips his head off clean. Police show up (my friend) and find the car and call for the fire department to deal with hazmat from the car. In the mean time, they're looking for his head and they just can't find it. They've looked everywhere. As the firetruck is coming down the road the lights from it illuminate the man's head... in the middle of the road. The cops sprint out and start waving their arms in the air. The firefighters wave back... and run the head over . He said they all agreed to pretend they found it that way due to paperwork and everyone woulda gotten in so much shit.

I've seen too many car crashes in my lifetime, including one where I had to lay out a sheet to cover the body before the police arrived. I don't want to talk about that one.
2 roll overs in the last year, one of which I actually had to help the fire department extract the driver after they broke out her windshield and cut the A pillars. She handed me her phone after I climbed into her explorer, which was 180 degrees backwards and rolled into the ditch, so I literally had to jump on the rear tire to get up on the passenger side of the truck. She handed me her phone to call her boss and there was half a fucking text on the screen. Texting and driving
One,about a year ago a guy was drunk off his ass and rolled his passengers moms truck. Driver was drunker than I have EVER been and the passenger let him drive because he had a restricted license. Massive Beer cans and four lokos all over the road. Passenger was sober and had a severely broken finger, but the driver was so drunk even the police couldn't understand him when he was trying to give a statement.
-------------------- Same thing happened to me when I played Neil Armstrong in Moonshot. They found me in an alley in Burbank trying to re-enter the earth's atmosphere in an old refrigerator box.

We have a huge cement block at a three way by my house, people seem to like crashing into. One night the wife and I were coming home and saw what was pretty much just a flaming trunk of a Dodge Charger by it. The next day on the news it was estimated that the car hit the block head on doing 80 or 90. Judging by the condition of the car I would assume there wasn't much left of the driver.

Before I was born, my dad road a motor bike. Mum was all "you're going to have an accident if you keep riding that" so he sold it. When I was 3, he was driving home and had a car accident, leaving him a quadraplegic and practically brain dead.
Ironic yeah?
