Trying to get fruiting cased grain in bags to work

I have been working on cased grain in old (cleaned and sterilized) mycobags. I have been using one colonized bag of spawn per 2 cased bags. My first problem was that I just split the colonized bag in half into 2 blocks and plopped the top half into another bag without breaking it up. Definitly not a good idea because it made air space between the bag and block because shape is not a perfect fit from top piece into bottom of bag. All the bags I made with top piece unbroken i have had to cut mold off sides in open areas.
2nd problem is that I put casing on a bit thick, about an inch, and lightly patted it down which now I know it is only to be sprinkled on about 1/4 - 1/2" thick.
3rd problem I had was that i took bad advice and fanned 3x a day with no misting. Even though bag was wet inside with condensation the casings dried out too much so I heavily misted them until rehydrated, but also then had to cut some drain holes where excess mist water pooled up in bottom of bags.
Everything is making pins around the perimeter of the casing instead of mostly the top but I know that is because things were to dry and casing too thick at start, but it should work out.
4th problem is now first bag of golden teachers are fruiting but all mushrooms began to rot inside the bag (green mold and blotch) because of course I have been trying to mist too much (say 4-7 squirts per bag) and even though I am squeezing air out 3x a day for FAE it needs more constant exchange because the volume of the air in the bag is not as much as say a monotub.
SO, now I have cut (8) 2" slits above the casing layer in all the bags and am reducing misting to just 2 squirts per bag, and am foregoing misting tonight so that they dry out a little to normal overnight.
Will this be sufficient? Should I maybe make 3 or 4 smaller bags per 1 bag spawn so that there is more air space in bag? Thanks!

I've decided that there is not enough air space for a half block in one bag so I am going to make a monotub like setup with sheet plastic on the shelf and cut the top half of the bags off. It will make maintenance easier anyhow and increase air space significantly.
I will also try 1/4 block per bag and see how that works out.

It sounds like you should toss them all and start over again. Sorry Bro. You don't want all of those spores floating around, if they aren't already. JMO
