They don't look totally contamed to me. If you have a garage, or a shed, etc. Go outside with the contamed jars, cut off the mold spots with a razor. Wash the cakes well with a garden hose, dunk and roll and fruit in a mono in the garage or shed. I'd still be weary about taking a chance fruiting in your house. You could also get away with a bucket tek and take it outside to "breath" a couple times a day. This way, if mold pops up in your FC, there is no chance spores will be let loose in your house. Once that happens, contams will always be a prob. I sleep with a can of oust fyi.

I don't think I'll chance fruiting either of them. Is it ok to boil them in a pot for an hour before opening? I don't have a PC.

Lookin good! Good luck with these. Just remember to make sure they get plenty of fanning, misting, etc. You should start seeing pins soon.

Personally I'd be paranoid about the contams and I'd toss the jars in the trash. They aren't that expensive. If you want to save the jars I'd boil em for an hour or so and take them outside to dump them out, rinse with a hose outside then sterilize again.
But that's just me being paranoid. The pros might know if you can get away with less.

64 days later, in the FC 7 days
Some pins on 2 cakes, nothing on the other 4. RR promised a great flush. These cakes have been to hell and back, took about 5-8 weeks to finish consolidation, some started invitro pinning, all were put in the fridge for a few weeks due to me being away from house. I took the invitro pins off, maybe I shouldn't have? I think the blue is just bruising according to my q-tip.

The blue does look like bruising. I'd recommend leaving the invitro pins on next time. Those big mutants on my cakes were mostly from invitro pinning.
Your pins look like they'll grow up pretty big.

4 Creepers will join in on the fun in a few days. I think they'll do better.
