Some spring carps
    #14464318 - 05/16/11 08:01 PM (12 years, 9 months ago)

Things are just starting to pop up around here.  It's still pretty cold, and the trees are barely leafing out.

Deconica montana; these guys were coming up in moss near hot springs in Yellowstone.

Not a good example of the D. montana habitat, but a hot springs nonetheless

Discina perlata

An insidiousaur

Blacks

Really weird black morel habitat

Polyporus arcularius

Coprinellus micaceus

Psathyrella sp.

Oysters

Tiny yellow

Vjp, yeah I was fishing and not catching anything so I wandered out there, and boom, morels, all clustered around that little cottonwood in the middle.  Then I got excited and looked all over in "good" habitat and didn't find anything.

Dragonaut, the closest ID I could come up with is Insidiousaur, but it could be a Slashodon or Sliceoceratops.

Thanks guys.  Psylosymon, there's rainbows, browns and cutthroat in the rivers around here, although, cutthroats tend to be less common until you get higher in elevation or into Yellowstone National Park.  Cutthroat are the only native of the three.
