Central PA, new to hunting, ID help

Hey everyone, I just recently got into hunting for some good fungi in my area, and have found a few concentrations of mushrooms that look to be promising. I've been on this cite numerous times trying to educate myself somewhat, but have realized I wont get any solid information without posting my own pictures. I will post the pictures as soon as i have them uploaded, but in the meantime i have a few questions:
Do pan subs grow on hay?
How hard is it to tell deadly galerinas (spelling?) from the safe psych. varieties?
Anyone from my general area (central pa) have any good information?
Id appreciate any and all posts

pan. subbs do grow in hay in certain parts of the world. Galerinas will have orange spore prints so as long as you print all of the mushrooms you find you should be okay. And no I don't live in your state.

lots of mushroom species grow in dense patches ie. one on top of the other. Post pictures and make sure that the spore print is jet black. good luck !

The big ones in the cluster arn't subbs I don't think(last 4 pictures), the stems look way off. I would say however that the top photo's are pan cinctulus, wait for a TI to confirm this please. Good find man.

Right. The print isn't black...dark purple/brown I'd say. The ones with the blackish print are Lacrymaria lacrymabunda. Nothing edible or active. Keep looking!

It just went from being very hot and dry for about a week, to being cool and lightly rainy now for a few days. Will the heat wave end my chances of finding much of anything? Still worth going out?
