I would guess there are about 500 out there, I have to be careful because there are other species in the yard too. I will most likely print them all, the other ones Lacrameria I believe give a gold/orange print. Only way I know to pick them apart so young. I am learning though.

And the mana fell from heaven and it was good.

Lacrymaria gives a dark purple/black print. Conocybes give rusty orange prints.

They are Panaeolina foenisecii, that print is not jet black.

So the only difference between the two is jet black and coal black spore print?

Agreed. You can see the brown where the print has smeared. Very good eye Byrain. I was thinking subbs at first.

There is no difference between jet and coal black to my eye. However, there is a difference between jet/coal black and dark/purple brown.

Another thing, I was using a paper plate and I think it absorbed some of the moisture and may have dissipated some of the color. I just bought foam plates hoping I won't have that problem in the future.

Aluminum foil OR even better transparency film like what they use for overhead projectors at schools.
