I just did a two day fast last week. I came across a thread that was talking about this and decided to do it. I had to fast because of a glucose test and just kept on going. The second day was very difficult. I have kids to feed and couldnt get away from food.
After I had started eating again, I felt great! Although this is not what they are saying is the GOOD part but it was amazing the difference in how I felt.
I will follow you starting tomorrow. Hoping to do a three day fast. Thanks for the inspiration!!! Good luck and stick with it.

Thanks, you too! I already have some haters sending me PMs, so the motivation is there.

That doesnt make any sense that they would be HATING on you for doing a noble thing such as this. Its pretty bold but not hatible ( is this a word?). A shove is the right direction.

i've done two 24 hour fasts over the past couple months. They're so worth it...the energy boost over the next few days is great, as is the ability to distance yourself from such deeply ingrained mental patterns.

I am not at this point interested in a not eating anything kind of fast, rather I like the idea of eating only things that are incredibly healthy and cleansing.
I am on a lifelong fast in that I am determined not to eat any meat, drink any milk, eat any sugar or preservatives or aspartame of MSG, and to eat only organic vegan high-anti-oxidant superfoods and health supplements, drink only distilled or reverse osmosis water and healthy teas.
If I am the architect of my body, I want to build with only the finest materials, but I cant build anything with no materials at all.
However, I do believe fasting can be very valuable for some and I am not trying to discourage you from it. But I would rather eat "perfectly" than not eat all.

Having and overall healthy diet is awesome. What you eat has such a large effect on how you feel. My diet consists of about 50% fruit, mostly in the form of bananas, strawberries and blueberries. I still eat meats and grains as well, but a lot less than the normal person. I avoid fast foods, preservatives and artificial sweeteners at all costs.

Im down for fasting I use it as an aid to strengthen my prayers to help break down enemy strongholds.
I would just like to ask is there a reason for this fast??
Or some kind of intention??

Personal growth. I like Robert Bruce's idea of making the ego submit. I've also found it very easy to read and meditate today, thus far.

like a dark cloud of oppression over a city, town , neighborhood , even a person.
prayer is very powerful thing and larger groups and fasting helps to break through

Fasting is great, i literally have no food at the moment, so, prety much fasting as we speak..
I did a 14 master cleanse fast before, and it was incredible.. Not nearly as hard as I suspected.. The first few days are the worste.. and then the detox symptoms kinda such.. Headaches, and pains..
In fact.. It's about time I do another one of those :o
Fast on!

Happy to report I've now made it over 24 hours. I'm going to continue until tomorrow morning. It's strange, I had a few bouts during the day where I was really craving food, but once you get past that your fine. I don't even feel hungry right now. I feel like I'm surging with energy and vitality. I've meditated a few times today and feel I am really in touch with my body. I recommend people try this for a day. Drink a lot of water.

Day two and feeling better than last fast. I felt like shit last time, pretty easy now. Cant say that its easy watching my kids eat cookie or my favorite cereal in front of me. Just made some oatmeal cookies with caramel and apples. Sound good, doesnt it!
Just thought Id fuck with everyone.

Fasting has been one of the most beneficial things in my life. I have fasted for periods of up to 3 days and I can't say enough good things about it. The mental clarity and focus it brings is top notch and I find it gives me some real time to let the burden of food get in the way of looking inward and trying to understand more of myself. The cleansing it brings to the body is awesome and it is overall just a really great tool to use when your not feeling there...
Eating healthy is also a must in my life, grains, artificial sweeteners, fast food, and processed food in general is all tempting but in the end it has no benefit to you or your body.
-------------------- Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us all. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
