Healthy Mycelium -> overtake mold?

So in a quart WBS jar i had started to notice small areas of green, very small. There is plenty of healthy looking mycelium and it looks like the mycelium has overtaken the green stuff. Is this possible? Does anyone have any experience with anything similar? Strain is Ecuador.

It depends on the type of mold. Mushroom mycelium always loses the fight to trichoderma in my experience. I have a jar that is overtaking a different green mold infection right now, though. It's been taking a while, but the mushroom mycelium is threading rhizomorphs into the sporulated area of the mold and ripping through it.
Although it is overtaking the mold, I will still not use it for spawn to bulk for an indoor grow. I don't trust it enough to not contaminate due to all the spores that were released in the jar. It will get spawned to an outdoor bed.

In the spirit of "pics or it didn't happen:"

EDIT: Upon doing some searching, I believe that this may be a Cladosporidium spp.

I'm sorry to say it but it looks unrecoverable to me. I'm a noob so you'll definitely want to get varied opinions on this.
Sorry,I didn't realize that it wasn't the OP's pic.
Why come to a forum asking for help on specific problems due to something visible without pics? Just asking.

i also have a jar that started out with a dime size spot of myc. but then a spot appeared. the spot only grew about dime to nickel size...i put the jar aside(away from the rest) and now the spot is no bigger, nor smaller. but my jar is about fully colonized now.

Is it worth the risk of contaming your grow area?

I wouldn't use any jar with visible contamination, even if the mycelium appeared to be stronger. There's still contam in there. Like someone else said, use it in an outdoor bed. Or toss it.
