I feel like that would be a chilling job, especially with some weed.

They don't want Americans for most jobs on most cruise lines save for working with kids and engineering positions... I think there's some Norwegian (cruise line) ships with all American crews, and carnival cruise line ships often have American crews (they're also the shittiest line.. go figure)

the passengers are certainly chilling.. the staff on the other hand, are busting their ass 8 hours a day, 6 days a week minimum, more like 10-12hrs for a lot of the jobs.
cruise lines work hard to create a chilled out atmosphere for the passengers.. and who does that work? the crew of the ship. if you're working on a cruise ship, you don't get to chill because you're working. except maybe a job as a masseuse, a bar tender, a yoga teacher, personal trainer, entertainer, etc. but if you don't have any of those types of skills/experience its not gonna be as chilled out of a job as you expected.

It's almost like how I always thought being a guy at a sporting event who stands where the seats are and tells people to sit down would be a kickass job because you get to see all the games for 'free'
but then when everyone leaves you clean gum off the floor

Definitely but i wouldn't mind doing that and left with some good $$$$ afterwards. most jobs require a bit of work. i would hope i could get weed on the cruise though, for medical reasons
