Not sure if this has been suggested or not, but 9 times out of 10, I listen to "ummagumma" and A saucerful of secrets" by Pink Floyd when I'm coming up.
Very ambient and psychedelic, ummagumma gets dark at some points, but it always seems to stretch the creativity of my mind further than the LSD would alone.

Didn't read the whole thread but when I trip I like to have the following available:
Grateful Dead (goes without saying but so so important, the Dead have saved me from a bad trip on more than one occasion)
Classical music
Native American drums/shamanic music
Folk music
Celtic music
Christian Hymns ( I am a Christian and I find listening to hymns helps me remember God and his love)
Any music I have a strong connection to from my past even if it is not psychedelic or trippy in the least, I find it transports me back to that period in my life and the feelings associated with it.

Ok, someone did mention Chemical Brothers (Further album) but I believe we would all be doing a disservice if we didn't mention fucking "Dig Your Own Hole" album, this album and The Crystal Method's "Vegas" album are definitely at the top of my trip list for a good nostalgic trip from my formative psychedelic years. These albums have infectious "beats", like OP asked for and these albums never fail to guide me well thru the journey of the experience. My favorites with these 2 albums are LSD, MDMA and I have also had a blast with Vegas on DXM a few times. I know a lot of the younger "dub-step" crowd might not appreciate some of these, being too "90's" or whatnot but damn they've always served me well. Actually just blasted these albums last night on 200ug of 1p-LSD and once again they did not let me down ahh, brought back all the good times... Great suggestions guys, I'll put together a list of my newer trip music when I get the chance but I felt we could not leave these 2 out, they were what drove the nail in, for me anyways, in the realm of electronic beat-oriented music on psychedelics...timeless classics, have fun!

I like the oldies 60s and 70s when tripping or rolling. Normally i like the new stuff, rap, hiphop. The oldies though while tripping is my fave.

Listen to an album ALL OF THE WAY THROUGH - not a lot of people do that anymore..... my favorites for tripping are Pink Floyd - Darkside of the Moon (favorite for LSD) Shlomo - Places EP (favorite for smoking DMT) Tycho - Awake (favorite for mushrooms) Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here
OR a Grateful Dead concert ..... live music is the greatest!

I agree, listening to albums in full is important. Especially if it is a good album!
