is there another meaning to the emergency lights on the cars?

So I noticed that there was a row of cars with their emergency lights on while they were driving. This is the second time I witnessed this and I am very curious of what that means. Is it perhapps like some gang sign they do? Like how the motorcyclists ride together and do those kinda things?
They all can't have problems with their cars simply because that is just a huuuge coincidence, and there were around 8-10 cars in a row that did it. Anyone else witness this? What does this mean?

Funeral, maybe?

It could mean that they are driving slower than the general flow of traffic (e.g. 50mph on a 65+mph highway).
The 8-10 cars were probably traveling together, I would think...

If police were there at an intersection it was definitely a funeral.

I remember this guy almost hit me because he ran a red light... I sped up to him to vent my road rage and he pointed at the funeral sticker on his car. So I gave him that "Oh Im sorry, Im not gonna run you off the road now"

It's customary to stop your car as they pass even if your on the other side of the road.
Well, in Indiana it is at least.

That's only in small towns. I noticed that in Utah too.
Here in California, people die all the time. No need to stop.

Usually a cop will direct traffic at main cross-sections... but this time there was nobody and the guy almost smashed into me pretty hard.
Because of all the old people, aka HORRIBLE drivers that live in my area, I still look both ways when I have the green light! People are CONSTANTLY running red lights here. If I didnt look over when I did, we would have gotten into a bad accident.

They shouldn't have been running red lights if there wasn't a cop directing them to do so. You would have won if it went to court in the event of an accedent.

It's a big problem down by me, They have cameras at half the lights. I was told they made 4 million dollars in my town last year, just from people running red lights!

Valid reasons to have your emergency lights on:
- Bad weather - You want to make sure people to crash into you because you have stopped on a busy road - something is wrong with your car
Invalid reasons:
- I'm just gonna park where I'm not supposed to for a few minutes and turn on my emergency lights on cause they magically give me the right to park anywhere for a few minutes.
If someone you cross blinks their front lights once: your highbeams are on
If someone blinks their front lights several time in row: there is a cop on radar not far ahead, slow down...

Indeed!
There are tons of people that don't know that last bit.
