I finally have watched the movie inception.
I think is was great and got me thinking.
they imprint or find thoughts in your dreams that is guarded by your subconscious.
When you take LSD, you basically go into your subconscious and true colors come out....
The first time I took LSD, i felt like the person I was with was..the devil. I should have listened. But it shows how much feelings and vibes were being pushed my way by him. I was always heavily influenced by the way others were acting around me when i tripped.
Do you think you could plant an idea into someones head when they are on LSD....or any psychedelic for that matter/ any drug thats lets you into your subconscious

Better yet.....if that is possible.....would you imprint something into someones mind....and what would it be.
I would totally do it to my mom and make her support me 100% through college and maybe even after.....but shes so narcistic that it seems imposible

I disliked that movie. I just don't think it did a good job of portraying what dreams are like, at all. It was just Hollywood set dreams. The premise was interesting but I couldn't suspend my disbelief.
I know our government has been working on "imprinting things" in our minds for decades. Pretty sure they've succeeded.

My body I will give to pleasures, to diversions that I’ve dreamed of, to the most daring erotic desires, to the lustful impulses of my blood, without any fear at all, for whenever I will— and I will have the will, strengthened as I’ll be with contemplation and study— at the crucial moments I’ll recover my spirit as was before: ascetic.”

I haven't seen it yet but to follow your train of thought- I would probably not try to imprint anything into anyone's mind. I feel like most of the people I know (myself included, well somewhat) already have a brain full of useless misinformation and misconceptions. If anything I would help them clean house a bit.

I thought it was a piss poor excuse for a movie with a half-assed paradoxical plot and storyline, could have been written by an 8 year old.. would not watch again.

I thought that movie was good when I watched, but that was only because I was seriously deprived of sleep. It actually sucked.

Inception was like one LONGGGGG hollywood crescendo. Like listening to godspeed you! black emperor with Michael Bay directing them
Don't get me wrong I loved it for that reason
Anyway, it seems to me anyone who would have ideas planted in their head by others, whether while on psychedelics or not, has some therapy/developing to do. This is what i get out of my personal experience of once being someone who just absorbed and replicate whoever I was hanging out with, compared to who I am now, travelling my own path regardless of who I'm around

I think anyone including your current self could have others ideas implanted into your head. As good as you are at protecting yourself, there's at least 1 other that's even better at manipulation. Because you don't think it can happen to you makes you a good target, actually.

maybe you're right. Manipulation can be super insidious or subtle too. Like in the movie, they can't just place the idea in the person's mind, they have to be able to make the person think that he or she came to the idea him or herself, which requires more tricky manipulating. That would be pretty fucked up though
Has anyone met anyone who seemed to manipulate people without realizing what they were doing? Have anyone ever done that themselves without realizing it? Emotional manipulation for example
