I have an MEA petri with some vertical growth like a tree. Its a germination plate with two visible germination points. One looks like a typical MS colony the other has extreamly fine rhyzomorphic growth and this tree. I didn't remove the parafilm to take a closer look because im pretty sure the tree thing is unperfecti... or surrounded myc trying to make a run for it.
What do you think?

Aw snap!! The spell check isn't working...

Pretty cool man! When did you inoculate the agar? I noticed that the growth is on the side of the dish. Someone gave me a tip about MS on agar: Take your scalpel and cut a small chunk out of the agar so the drop doesnt run all over the place. Worked for me

This thread was moved from Mushroom Cultivation.
Reason: The clear vertical strand is bacteria. You better get to isolating if you want to get a pure culture out of that. RR
