Cannabis withdrawal?

Hola Shroomery,
I have a question for long-time weed smokers. Today marks three weeks since I last partook. During the past week I have noticed a decline into a moderate feeling of depression, marked by severe lack of motivation, even to eat.
My therapist swears black and blue that this is because of cannabis withdrawal, and that I ought to feel pretty bad until five weeks have passed from my last smoke.
However, this feeling of depression characterised my entire adult life before I started smoking weed, and cannabis has been the cure for it these past three years.
My question is: will I go back to feeling the same sense of well-being that I do on cannabis, or am I just fizzucked?
Cheers.

Sweet, I've got some shrooms lined up for a few weeks from now. Last time I took them they kicked the arse off my depression.
Have you not smoked since 4/20 for reasons of choice or of supply? And do you expect to feel better at some point in the future without going back to cannabis/other drug use?

cold turkey? man every time I say I am gonna cut back, I end up going right back to being a daily smoker. Cutting back doesn't work for me, and when I try to quit cold turkey I get seizures (I have epilepsy) Seems you are self medicating and by quitting you may be in for a rough ride, but the diet and exercise should help you get through it. Good luck bro.

Yes, there are mild withdrawals from weed if you've been toking on the regular for a while, but the good news is that they diminish with time. The trick is to keep your mind occupied. GL.

Cheers fellas. Already after three weeks I'm feeling flashes of normality.
Yeah, I also find I can't "cut back": it's all day or nothing. Nihilistic overindulgence FTL.

I am in the same boat i am back to day one now over the last month or two i have been on and off the longest i managed was 14 days then i made the mistake of toking and it was all over back to a daily thing i stopped again for less days and toked because it was my birthday , then a good friends birthday a few days later and then another birthday 2 days after that excessive green xO
But you know third time lucky i feel good about going in, i think those feelings are normal man when you smoke daily for a prolonged period of time it becomes norm so when you stop its a mindfuck i know the feeling , and it feels like something is wrong also but nothing to pinpoint just this certain energy that takes it out of you.
anyhow there is light at the end of the tunnel , stay strong brother

i've never been... withdrawn, for more then a day, off Cannabis.
and that withdrawl, if you will, only includes the slight irritablity of not being happy and content for the rest of my day cuase i haven't toked. but happiness and contentment revive through my inclusion into the new state of mind called... SOBERNESS.
yum.

Yeah, that shit can suck. I've tried to take a month off from smoking, but the most I've made it is 10 days. And I get really sick. Hard to eat/sleep. So I've been slowly weening myself off of being a daily smoker. Then I feel it may be a lot easier.
