inoculated 12 PC - pint wide mouth jars april 1st or so with B+ strain.
Incubated @ 79F and still incubating, 2 cakes fully colonized, birthed 1 cake, crumbled 2nd as spawn for bag of poo w/brf & verm with lime.
Now my ?'s
will the mycelium colonize the bag of poo?
and also did the jars stall out b/c they were too big maybe?
it seems the tops of the cakes in the jars shrunk a bit but not the bottoms where the mycelium seems fluffy white/stringy. but not fully colonized. almost there.
Is that a problem? I was thinking about maybe injecting some dh2o into the jars that are not fully colonized yet, is this a bad idea? I will just wait for it to fully colonize anyways.
any help would be appreciated.

Do the stalled cakes have a hole in the top of the container for gas exchange?

Let me guess, tall 1/2 pint jars?

they could stall from incorrect water content in that spot are maybe a bacterial infection. How long has there been no growth? I think pint jars tend to colonize slow/stall anyways. (i've never done em tho)

Take the tape off, and tighten lids till snug not tight... The one time I loosened my lids they all but a few ended up with mold. Is it the cause dunno. But since then I haven't had that problem.

there's no contams and i can see condensation inside the jars towards the bottom, they've stalled out for almost a week i'd say but seem to be growing slowly now.
also i was wondering how well could i spawn wbs bags from brf cakes? i'm thinking of trying that with a few cakes. when you use cow poo does the mycelium cover it as it would brf? or is it more like a casing like perlite or verm? since i never used cow poo b4, i'm using a 1-1-1 cow manure compost mixed with brf verm and lime in oven safe bags trying to bulk grow to cased trays. any suggestions?

I dint say you had contams. I said loosening or opening your jars can lead to contams before 100% colonization. And you shouldn't remove the tape if you dont have a dry Verm barrier. I would turn them upside down for a day or so. Although there is a huge controversy as to if it even works. I did it once with tall pint jars and they colonized finally after 2 weeks of being stalled. It could be just coincidence who knows. Just a thought.
