Endospore questions...

Do the endospores exist on the outside surface of the grains? Can they exist on the inside?
and after the grain jar is fully colonized, does the mycelium consume and/or destroy these endospores?

the endospores are on the outside. But they are in every nook and cranny of the seed kernel there is. An over night soak forces these little buggers into germinating so they can be destroyed by sterilization. Some endospores can survive being pressure cooked as they are meant to survive the worst of environments. The organisms that arise from these endospores will readily outrun you mycelium and no the mycelium will not consume them.

I've been using grains for a while so I was just curious of the technical things, I was aware that the PC doesn't kill 100% of things......I've been doing GLC's for a while too with success.
If the mycelium doesn't consume and/or destroy the surviving endospores....and you create a GLC. Won't you have sucked some endospores up into the syringe? technically speaking?
