Habitat: Found in fertile soil and mulch mix, in a well manicured lawn

Gills: Dark grey to black

Stem: Thick white and meaty

Spore print color: in progress

Bruising: No bruising

Other information: Found in NE Fl, I know they are not cubes, just curious what they are, and if they are edible

Stropharia rugosoannulata if from mulch or garden area (good edible), S. coronilla if in grass

The gills are too dark to be Hebeloma but I was thinking of that for the caps.  Stropharia seems a good bet.

DON'T!!!!! according to your own account of the habitat, they are S. coronilla, and they poisonous. Plus they don't look like rugosoannulata....at all, IMO

Thanks for the concern and warning Paducahovoids, I haven't eaten yet. I was worried that they didn't look like Stropharia rugosoannulata, I'm not great at IDing but none of them have a ring on the stipe and the cap doesn't quite look the same. To clarify, I found them in mulch inside a planter around a tree.
