yes, when buying malt make sure you get the lightest colored type, but all will work

i am using a ready made mix for beer fermentation that doesn't specify quantities yet states Spray Dried Malt Extract (Malted Barley, Water), Spray-Dried Dextrose (Dextrose, Water). I have the receipt so I can bring it back to the shop but was hoping i  can use this as is for a LC. I reckon i could use this this thinned out as a medium for a LC. Before I start,is this a good medium?

Well if you can take it back I would and get Light Malt extract (it will look like a light brown powder) and some dextrose(basically looks like icing sugar) both are cheap and they will have it if its a home brew store

Damion5050's tek dsescribes a Light Malt Extract plus a Dextrose mix, the powder i got is both mixed together, can i simply use what i bought, seeing as it has the two (yet i don't know  quantities-this is for Bee4r  fermentation). I guess to use this stuff i bought within parameters of a dextrose |LC but wanted to ask advice first before getting into trouble and wasting weeks of timeo

Its perfectly fine to use myc will basically grow in anything with digestable sugars, the key is not to go too rich on the sugars

is it the geordie beerkit enhancer?
if it is you want to use 4g per 100ml of water
So you should have plenty in the bag

I use it and it's great, just don't PC it for more than 20 mins (for a baby bottle) and you won't have any problem with it.

You want to use 4 gram per 100 ml so 20 for 500 ml, probably 23 per pint,
I've not been using Lc for long but I'm not the only one to use Geordie, It's damn good stuff, and quite cheap, you should get about 45 pints out of that bag

id pc for 45min, not twenty.  that is standard time for agar / malt blends

No offence but I disagree 15 mininum but I never go over 30 It's not needed on LC's you just end up with caramlization and sediments.

Light carmelization doesnt hurt.  15min is prob only good for very small amounts like 100ml.  You always get sediments with yeast added if thats what you are thinking.  I can tell you that my bottle of agar says 45min, and agar, LC pretty much the same volume and sterilization requirements.  Lab grade Agar is cleaner than malt.

Well after five years and I don't know how many LC's PCing them for 20-30 tops your not likely to change my mind...why don't you poll and see how long people PC their LC's?

I've only ever used the geordie kit and with the few Lc's I've done (probably about 10-12) I've noticed that if I'm stoned and i forget the PC is on and leave them in for more than 20 min's I get a LOT of large chunks of sediment and the liquid is a lot lighter than it should be, every time this has happened (3 or 4) the LC has failed.

So now, at least with 250ml bb lc's I set my phone alarm for 20 mins, and I've been thinking of dropping to 15, I'm sure that with the extra agitation of liquid boiling it doesn't need as long as a static substrate, and I've not had a contamination issue just a problem with burning up nutrients.
