Disc Golf

Hey I was just wondering if there is any fellow disc golfers on this board.
To the people that don't know, its a really cheap, fun, and chilled sport that is similar to normal golf, only with discs(or frisbee shaped plastics). There is a drive tee and a hole(basket) that you have to toss the disc to in a limited amount of throws to make par. Courses tend to be located at local parks and have certain difficulties to try to throw you off(trees are your worst enemy...).
But anyway I thought I could share some of my discs and best record with you guys.
Drivers - 2 Discraft Z NUKE First Run, 3 Innova Star Destroyer, 2 Discraft Avenger Elite X, 3 Crush ESP
Mids - 2 Discraft Buzzz, 1 Discraft Hawk
Putts - 1 Innova Star Aviar, 3 Gateway Wizard
Best record was -12 on par 54.
Sorry if this has been posted, mods feel free to take it down.

I saw my fiance talking to one of you "disc golfers" at a park as I was bringing stuff back to the car from a picnic on Easter. I just don't get it. He thought it was neat.

I've been playing for a while now, but I usually just carry a discraft xs driver and floppy putter.

He should play, and you should give it a try too. Its great exercise and it gives you a good feeling inside to watch your disc fly. You cant knock it until you try it, and by then you might just be addicted to it. My wife used to laugh at me until she started playing, now she cant wait to head to the park. Just a thought....

I play disc golf! I'm pretty bad at it, but it's good fun and great exercise. They have a nice course nearby in my little town.

Yea I was terrible at first but it's a learning experience and you'll get better with time. I wanted to quit playing soooo many times but I finally got the hang of it and now i'm hooked for life. I wish our town had a better course, or at least revamped version of our current one. It's only nine holes, all of them are par 3's riddled with pine trees. If I want to get a good game in I have to travel 20 miles to the next town that is smaller in size and has 3 courses all 18 holes of multiple pars. Doesn't make much since to me as basketball courts pop up all over town but when you ask about disc golf people just look at you funny. It's quite upsetting.
Which leads me to a question. What is the most random thing that anyone ever told you they thought a basket was intended for. Mine was a guy that told me he thought they were "ghetto trash bins" after I explained what they were.
