you were the one coming off as a smartass obviously private trackers and peerblock don't work...
and at least i had half a reason to be one in the first place, and ontop of that i was even nice enough to provide supporting evidence

Where did I say private tracker don't work. And yes filtering IP's is a bandaid. IP's are not hard to change and if your list is not always up to date, it is a false sense of security.

peerblock and other ip block lists are not really going to protect you. Sure it might help bit it is not fool proof.

Besides get yourself on a nice private tracker a get yourself a seed box.

you didn't say private tracker but you should have, now that you just said private trackers do work, its obvious you're just a google/wiki tool as i suspected as I add this to evidence rack #2. Oh and i forgot evidence #3, you imply to get a private tracker and a seed box which shows you can only parrot what you read but never fully understood it, if you had a seed box you would have no need for a private tracker pirate bay would do just fine and a vpn most likely. Furthermore it shows your unaware of the state of private trackers, people wouldn't be getting caught if they were private, hence again how you should have said they didn't work earlier. Plus where was all this talk from prior to this thread? yah, it sure wasn't common knowledge till now, guess my work is done. you can all thank me later.

I download most games and music. I am a whore, but I do buy games that have a strong MP side to them, Orange box, MW1, BC2, and the like.
Most games I download I probably would not bother buying anyways, so I don't feel i am hurting their sales. Justification, yeah what ever makes me feel warm and fuzzy I guess.
Sadly my downloading days are going to end soon. If all goes well I'll be living in he country soon with either dial-up or hughsnet satellite, both of which suck ass. I guess I'll have to pay for TV again also... dammit. Wish I could still get free satellite, damn you nag3.
Eh I'll just have my friend burn me disks and have him send them to me... but gah, no Battlefield 3

I've never been able to properly mount an ISO and now I have a few files on my computer that I cant delete. It says they are in use, when they clearly are not. So I decided not to fuck with downloading games.
I download soooo much music though it's crazy. If I paid on iTunes for every song I've illegally downloaded....oh god I'd owe over $20,000

google: msconfig google: safe mode
In safe mode remove the files and then use msconfig to check what the hell is going on at startup. Good luck.

Oh yeah, i have had problems deleting an iso that I had mounted but forgot they where. I had to unmount them first. I bet you successfully mounted that iso and your program is using it which will not allow you to delete it while it is running in the back ground.
You could also try Unlocker 1.9.1, which helps in those times when you can't delete a file because a program is holding on for dear life.
But really, do what Linux said. That way you learn the real problem.
