I'm also a first time grower in trouble. This is my cake after first flush and re-dunking:

Uploaded with ImageShack.us
It seems a bit too gray to be healthy. I am in a process of trying this type of grow chamber that mists the cake twice a day for 15min. I wasn't using this chamber during the first flush. I'm afraid I may have over moisturized the surface yesterday. If so, is there anything I can do?

I think your new FC may be going a tad bit over board on the misting... 15 minutes sounds almost like a shower.

Well that's 15min because I'm using a typical analog timer with minimum 15min intervals. The fogger is in the corner so it doesn't spray anything into the black container, it just creates a layer of fine hovering mist into the whole container. I have unplugged the power to the fogger and I am now administering the mist manually. Can I save it just by letting it dry a bit?

yes, cubes dont produce sclerotia, afaik.
to me it looks like fruits of a sclerotia producing psilocybe.
the pics of your cakes and the pics you posted have quite a few similarities,
like the small thin stem, small caps, no partial veil and the umbo,
which i personally like very much
here are some more pics.
getting fruitbodies from these psilocybe is not an easy task, as i have heard, but maybe you just did everything right, by accident.
but, since i dont have any identification skills, all of the above said is without guarantee.

I doubt its a sclerotia forming species, all the pics I've seen of them they have pretty thin and very straight stems, which yours don't. Also none of them are mud coloured like yours are.
Looks to me like you got screwed with some random mushroom. I would say you should try to get your money back by telling them you examined them under a microscope and they aren't the right species as there is probably a disclaimer on their site about growing them.
I can't say your odds of getting your money back are high though, these guys seem pretty scumy.

Are you sure this is not a contamination but something else? It appeared overnight. I'm also looking for ideas of what to do about it..

Ok I found some pictures that look strikingly similar to what I'm growing but I can't say for sure whether or not this is a match to mine.
Panaeolus cambodginiensis:

and last but not least...

(Here's the forum where I got the last two from also, http://www.gardenscure.com/420/flowers-herbs/137101-mushrooms-17.html
Again, I have no experience in cultivation or identification, but a lot of these pics bear striking resemblances to what I'm getting, especially the last two. It doesn't make too much sense that they would send me a strain which is much more potent than cubes but I don't know they look the same.
Thoughts?

If you eat those, they will take control of your brain and you'll have mushrooms growing out of every orifice.

Man, those things are soaking wet! cut way back on the misting and pick way up on the fanning. That being said I think they are cubes, they have the right stem and most scleraitia producers won't pin like that on a pf cake. If those are mexicana/tampensis/ect. you got lucky and you should thank the vendor because the fruits are way more potent than a cube
