Books To Read ?

hey, i just joined the forum, and this is my first post, so hi to all
I'm really new to mushroom cultivation, I've actually haven't grown any mushrooms yet, and i dont plan to until after the summer. i was actually planning on growing some, but since me and my family go to places during the summer, i doubt a month and half would be enough to get everything started for me, i mean i would have to get liquid culture started, get cakes dunked and inoculated, wait for colonization, and then suddenly a month and half have passed and i haven't grown anything, so i have decided to postpone that.
(BTW i was planning on growing azures)
what i have decided to do in the meanwhile, is to learn about mycology, not mushrooms, or psilocybin, but just mycology, so that i can understand a lot of whats going on. i dont want just simple insight into the matter but something more complex allowing me to change my teks according to what i believe is right. before you scream at me telling me to look at the recommended reading page, i have, and the books there all about actual growing and cultivation, when I'm looking to learn more about the biology behind all of this. from what I've seen, I'm gonna need a pretty good biology background, and I'm in the 9Th grade, and the most complicated biology i know is cells and cell types and that sort of stuff.
so i was wondering if you guys could help me out and suggest first a couple of book to help me with my biology background and then a couple more about actual biology.
thanks in advance!

So you just want general mycology/biology knowledge? Not necessarily pertaining to growing?
I did a bit of mycology in university, but I was never recommended any books. I'd recommend Google college, or the nearby University of Wikipedia. Be careful for misinformation and do plenty of reading around.
May this speed you on your quest for knowledge - Paul Stamets, one of the shroomery's demi-gods, talking about why mushrooms are great!
I highly recommend TED for great talks in general, not just biology stuff.
