Warrior's Grow Box Pictorial

Welcome to my Garage

This is the beginning of my project. The box is about 8' long and 4' deep.

There is a lock and key on the outside.

I covered the inside with 3mil black plastic.

I cut a hole in the back and installed a fan for FAE. The holes around the fan for air going out. All of the holes will be covered with a standard HVAC air filter. With the bench against the wall you can't see it from the outside.
I also installed a light in the top.

The light and fan are on a timer.

The hydrometers will give a general temperature and humidity from outside the box on my work bench.
As soon as I can find a print the plan is to do about 6 monotubs.
I'll update this thread as I progress.

I'm pretty confident in the fan. It moves the air more than enough. I don't even think I'll need it set to high.
My biggest concern down the road is humidity.
I've never done mono tubs so it's going to take some research to figure out exactly what size, amount, and location for the holes.
I hear they are pretty good with keeping the humidity up.
With this setup, do you guys think I'll need to set up a cool mist humidifier or would the tubs take care of it?
Also, let me know if you guys have a favorite tub TEK I should look into.

Oh no, I didn't even think of that. I don't want to worry about standing water. That sounds like a disaster.

IMO, if your tubs are going in, they should retain their humidity just fine (if properly designed of course).
I envy being able to do such a setup, i battle temps as it is. With summertime around the corner, a cupboard like that would bake.

Use two timers. Your not going to want to run your fans 12hours on 12hours off and u wont want to run your lights 15mins on 45mins off. Air works kind of like water. it wont pull air in if the air has no escape. With a fan in the middle like that pulling air in you would almost want 2 exits on the bottom fronts of the side panels on your box. use cheap furnace lolHEPA filters for both intake and exhaust. you will still need fan once a day to cover the areas that the fan isn't reaching(dead areas).
EDIT: NM i see your holes I think.

I currently have three holes in the back. One on either side of the fan and one above it.
I'm still testing and setting it up but I'll probably need more exit holes by the time it's ready.

Looks really nice, plenty of room for 4+ tubs. Looks like the fan should do some good FAE... looks like you've already got your design but if you have problems with FAE maybe put a second fan in that blows the opposite direction (in or out of the box)

A second fan turned around and both spinning at the same speed. That's a genius idea!
I just might do that!

I was thinking of this setup today for some reason.
If you spray all the insides lightly with a mist of water then close it up and turn on the fans you should get some idea as to how fast it will evaporate the water out and where the dead zone of your box might be. This should help you get some idea as to how long you want your fans runing and if you want them running all the time or not.

Progress
I added 4 more output holes in the grow box to even out the amount of air coming in and the air going out.
I covered everything with an air filter. Here is a little preview of what I'm doing.

First and foremost. I am by no means a mycologist. Please do not assume that I know everything because I do not. I am basically following an old TEK written by Magash which can be found here.I chose to go with Rye Berries and the Golden Teacher Strain.First I soaked the grain over night to germinate any bacteria spores hiding around. NOTE: I FILLED THE JARS TOO FULL AND FORGOT HOW MUCH THEY EXPAND. KEEP THIS IN MIND IF YOU'RE FOLLOWING THIS TEK.Next I drained the water and rinsed them well. Next step I simmered them for one hour to fully saturate the grains. Drain and fill the jars 2/3 of the way full.
