WOW... Crazy spring mushroom season here in the PNW... This is day 35 since I first found them at this spot here in town, urban style im at 200ft elevation.. In the last 3 years, I would have had to hunt around 1500-2000ft by now. I forgot my camera today, so the celly pics is all I have...May 13, at 200ft.. I cant believe it...lol

Nice finds man Found my first morels of the season yesterday too - but halfway thru the day with only meager finds - the ball joint of my car separated into pieces Kinda fucked my first "almost good" morel day
Its NUTS how you n the PNW seem to have LOTS of these woodchip loving morels too Your majik is EVERYWHERE in chips and you also have morels there too
Enjoy that majik land

Right on wiscokid, thats great that you found some morels....but dam!!!
That shit sucks hardcore about the ball joint of your car separating into pieces dude....!!!
I only had to walk a 1/4 mile here in town to find these. Woodchips here are majik indeed, I love that hundreds of people walk/bike past these morels every day. They have no clue what is right before there eyes...lol
It is super rare for these to still be pumping out flushes down low here west of the Cascade Mountains in may... I think you will have a late season like we are having.. You will find some nice morels indeed in the next few weeks...

The PNW is a pretty magical place indeed.. It dawned on me the other day that in a little one mile radius of my town I have my Morel patch and two Fall Cyan patches..
I picked about 4 really nice sized morels from my mulch spot yesterday as well - it's been a really weird mushroom season up here. I haven't seen any Marasmius oreades, Pan Foes, or even many Turkey Tails yet and we are like half way through May. But I've found like 60 nice sized Morels since March. Guess I can't complain?
