Low-level ambient room light will speed up colonization slightly. Avoid direct sunlight during colonization. RR

I think I'll just leave em in the dark. Better for pinning from what I've read from you RR (like my avatar?) Besides the way I figure it the less they move the better chance at avoiding contams. They are currently in a cabinet in my kitchen that never comes in contact with anything but clean plastic dishes and I sprayed a shit ton of disinfectant in there before I put my jars in there... I can be patient even though its a lil hard but its okay. I'm about 3 days in so I should only have a few more to go. I'm doin Burmese Yangoon and Dancing Tiger both I have heard colonize pretty quickly and I've heard the Burm are pretty resistant to contams but that may only be legend lol. Any body have an idea as to approx how long I have left? Given the conditions. My home tends to stay at an ambient temp of 75-80 degrees F and they're 1/4 pt jars as everyone knows SO...

I am so glad to here the 4oz jars (1/4 pt.) are working for you because that was all I could find. I just put 12 jars in the tub to grow. My house is cold, so there is a heating pad in the tub that warms the ambient temp up to 75, but the jars are directly on the heating pad (the type I use for seed starting).
Keeping my fingers crossed!

Best of luck I did my jars a couple days ago, im not heat incubating them but my home's ambiant temp is between 75 and 80 degrees I had them in my kitchen cupboard to begin with the first 2 days of colonization and then moved them to my closet in my bedroom which is closer to a heater vent (all mine are on the celling for some odd reason) this is day three and I have noticable growth coming on I'm so very very excited.

Dont use the heating pad... I fruited successfully in 60 degree temps, colonized 100% in a month using LC in 50-55 degree temps.

All I did was mist and fan bro. I do believe I birthed, dunked 24 hours, rolled in verm, misted 30 mins later, then just fanned the first day to let water evap. Then I misted 1-2 times a day, fanning 3-5 times. After I started to see pinning, I misted 2-3 time a day, fanned 5-7 times (gotta make sure the water evaps off the fruits, or they'll rot)
Feel free to PM me if you have any other questions as I notice everyone who talked shit about my jars hasn't said anything else. If you check my F+ grow in my sig you can see more pics of my results

So I went to home depot today and bought a 'clear' sterilite tub unfortunately I could only get an opaque green top, however I cut a rectangular hole about a third of the lid size directly in the middle of the lid. I covered it with a sheet of plastic lighting cover and silicon glued it into place I covered my tub in 1/4 in holes approx 2'' apart (no exact placement just a tad uneven) on every single surface I could I located a 5500k fluorescent bulb still dont have a hygrometer any other comments or concerns will have pics the second I can get a hold of a damn camera~! 10 days and counting!!!

FC is ready light and holes n all clear tub yada yada (not dismissing just previous info) At this point (judging by my posts) approx how long od you think my wait until birthing would be? I have been told to dunk I want to tap out my jars palm to table/work surface dunk in room temp water (wouldn't colder evap faster considering my temps?) for up to 24 hrs then place on foil in my FC on my wet [perlite and call it good fan more than mist before more mist more fan after pins. Am I correct thus far? Can I use the fine verm I have as casing/do I need casing (I've been told I don't) for a small bulk pan in my SGFC?

No news is good news. Pics?
After your jars reach 100% colonization, did you know you'r supposed to let them sit at full colonization for up to a month before you birth them so that the mycelium can fully consume the substrate and take an even stronger foot holding onto it?

Yes you do want a good strong rizo growth. You're myc is happy and you have lucked out so far with your genetics from multispore. Just let them keep doing their thing and make sure to let consolidate for at least 1 week. (I let mine sit 2-4 weeks after 100% colonization)

Are you friggin high? The most I would need to let my myc 'consolidate' Is like a week besides my jars are only 1/4 pints

No. Ok, a little bit. but that has nothing to do with it. I'v been doing this along time and I'm here to tell you, the longer you can allow for a consolidation period (of any substrate), the more explosive your first and second flush are going to come on.
I do usually do BRF cakes in half-pint wide-mouth jars though so that long of a consolidation period may not be necessary for cakes that size but it won't hurt so long as those tiny cakes don't dry out. I give my 1\2 pint jars a full month to consolidate before they'r birthed. Being that your cakes are 1/4 pints, I'd at least give em' 2 weeks of a consolidation period.
