Coir looks dry but humidity is fine.

This is my first bulk grow and my coir looks dry. I have not been misting cause Doc_Ts mini mono tek said not to. My humidity is great(95%). Its already pinning like crazy. You think its ok or should I start misting?

I personally would lightly mist and fan just to give it extra. as long as you fan you'll be fine and probably see better results

I have FINALLY written up a couple teks as to how SHP has done things in the past. DISCLAIMER: This is not for the newbie to mycology, and not going to work for everyone! This is simply what works for one person when other teks and methods have failed miserably!

Do you have pics......If you mixed it to field capacity then I am sure it is fine I dont think I have read all of doc ts tek but are you sure it says to never mist that doesnt sound right but if the humidity is good then you should be fine :goodluck:

Yeah, his mini mono tek said he does not fan or mist. I got the ceiling fan on low. Its set on reverse so it doesnt dry it out but circulates the air for FAE. I would think that it would be fine as long as the humidity stays up. I did my coir using damion5050's tek.

:orly:

I said many many times: MIST AS NEEDED TO REPLACE MOISTURE LOST DUE TO EVAPORATION. Wet it down good.
