Cow Pile ID Please

Habitat: Pasture cow "dookie" mix with straw, looks like where the cows have been feeding on a round bale of hay
Gills: White appearance, gills did not attach to stem even with the bottom of the cap they run all the way to the top of the cap before attaching.
Stem: about 4 inches. Stem seems hollow.
Cap: about as big arond as a 50 cent piece at the bottom, convex, ,.
Spore print color: In the works just got back from the cow dookie field. Bruising: Still learning how to do this, I pinched it and it did not turn blue, If it does over time I will report this

Over-exposed pictures, but it looks like a Conocybe, perhaps C. lactea It looks like it's night and you used flash. With the coloration, it's blending in with all the light you let in from the flash.
EDIT: Why are you hunting at night?

I'm afraid it is night time, sorry for the overexposure. I will get back with the spore print once it is complete. Thanks again for the help, I am finding I love this hobby.

It didn't think of Bolbitius, but that's quite plausible. OP, was/is the cap sticky?

The cap is sticky now, when I first harvested it it was slimy, the skies are overcast here in VA and the ground is wet.

I agree. Even when it was wet, The C. rickenii I found still had a solid pellicle.

While getting it ready for my spore print, I noticed the cap is made up of (looks like) hair threads side by side forming the cap. The mushroom was soaking wet, now that it's drying off its not as sticky.

Maybe the thinning, nasty pellicle is getting down to the next layer of the pileus which is more mycelial and striated.
EDIT: Anywho, if you're looking for actives or edibles, I'd recommend you try again (in the morning if possible, lol).

I also didn't know how closely some species resemble each other. Tough and interesting at the same time..

As you may soon find, mycological taxonomy may be well analogized to the threads comprising the web of a funnel spider.
If you can tell ass from mouth, I commend you!

K guys spore print in and its rust brown, pardon the shape as I cut the cap in half so it would lay down more flat on the plate.

From that last picture I'd guess Conocybe.
